Actually, K cars started in 1981 with a new FWD line platform. This was the previous RWD gen (78-81).

Lots of oddballs around, as long as you look hard enough. Why anyone would import a car like that seems obvious to me; it’s very different .

Its not that weird, I knew a kid whose dad worked in europe back in the 70s. They had several american cars over there, the funniest to me at the time being a Mercury Montego MX. It was so big and obnoxious compared to anything else on the road, we laughed our way across half of europe in that thing. Like this but white on white. When they returned to the states they sold the cars to people over there. That hood was at least 8’ long
